One standout feature of this belt is the lumbar support, which is specifically designed to press against the center of the spine where support is most needed. This targeted support is a significant improvement over other weightlifting belts that have a very wide lumbar support area, which does not specifically target the spine. However, there is a major issue with putting on and securing the belt. Unlike other belts where it’s a one-handed movement and you can tighten after positioning, for this belt, you need to use both hands to wrap and secure it with the Velcro locks. The buckle does not allow for any fine-tuning and is merely used to keep the belt from opening. This is problematic because it means you can’t easily adjust the tightness of the belt while wearing it. Instead, you have to suck in your stomach, secure it at its tightest, and lock it in place with the buckle, which is quite cumbersome and imprecise. Despite this, the belt seems durable, lightweight, and soft enough to be comfortable. The contour of the belt, with cutouts on the sides, allows for more freedom of movement, unlike most other belts that are simply flat. This thoughtful design provides better mobility. If you prefer to wear your belt tight, consider sizing down. According to the size chart, I am in the middle of the range for a size Large, but when I close the belt, the Velcro has less than a 1-inch overlap and often comes undone. Overall, this could have been a great product if the belt closure allowed for better leverage when pulling to tighten, instead of requiring overlapping ends while trying to adjust for tightness simultaneously.
