Oh my goodness, this is totally dangerous stuff... why? Because the Cookies and Cream flavour is so delicious that I could totally drink it all the time! OK, maybe not *all* the time but you get my meaning. As a post-gym shake, this is very welcome because I can never eat before training, so by the time I'm done, I'm famished. This really hits the spot, and keeps me full until lunchtime. I've also discovered that if I'm feeling under the weather, and have lost my appetite, it makes a great meal replacer. However, given the amount of sugar in this, it's probably not wise to use like this on a regular basis! Mixing the Beast is easy; I use my immersion blender, which results in a smooth and creamy shake when made with either milk or water. I prefer to use about 350-400ml milk. Having said that it's easy to make up, the first time I made it - and not discovering the scoop, which was waiting to be excavated from the bottom of the jar - I weighed 80g into a glass, and foolishly tried to whisk it up. That didn't entirely go so well, and I ended up with a thick, gritty mess. Albeit a delicious thick, gritty mess. Next time, I dug around for the scoop, which gives a better idea of what 80g of powder looks like, and used my blender. Perfect! While the initial outlay does seem expensive, were I to buy 30 smoothies (30 is how many servings this enormous beast of a jar contains), it would cost me almost three times the price of the Beast Pharm Recover, and wouldn't have nearly as much protein.

This protein recovery shake is a beast in both delivery and nutritional content, supplying you with over 2 kilos of heavy-duty post-workout shake powder - that's 30 shakes at the recommended strength, each at a substantial 320 cals and 25g per serving. One serving is two scoops, so it's easy enough to halve that if the full helping is too much for your own diet plan. The carbs to protein ratio is 2:1, so this is definitely aimed at those following a building regime - it's an excellent way to add some bulking to your diet without going the whole hog with a mass gainer powder. I've found mass gainers a bit too calorific in the past, while simple protein shakes haven't been substantial enough; this strikes a really happy medium, giving bulk while keeping the protein high as well. Flavour-wise, I can't fault it - the salted caramel variety is really creamy and very drinkable. It's one of those dessert flavour shakes that still manages to be a sweet treat even when made up with water alone, which is quite a bonus if you don't want the added lactose when mixing with milk. It mixes up and dissolves very quickly and easily in either, too. For muscle-building goals it's ideal, and the large bulk pack is good value too - I can very happily recommend this if you like dessert-style gym shakes.

I was looking for something to kick-start my 2024 routine, I'd had this stored away in the cupboard for a little while and decided to give it a go. Its a pretty big tub for only 30 servings, two large scoops in each serving. It doesn't really give you an indication on how much liquid to put with it, just says add water or milk. I've been filling my shaker to around 500ml which gives a thick and delicious serving and I've been substituting it for my lunch. I've not been getting the afternoon munchies as much and been tempted to snack on stuff which is good. I think when this first came out it was around £50+, its now available on subscribe and save for much less which makes it better value.

Each 80 gram serving (2 x of scoop provided) contains 60% Carbs (47.7 grams) and 30% Protein (31.2 grams). I mix this in approx 300 ml of semi-skimmed milk, shaking in a sports drinks bottle, it is very easy / fast to mix at this ratio of milk to powder. Salted Caramel flavour�� what can say, other than it tastes lovely! Nicely sweet, without being sickly. This 2.4 Kg tub will provide 30 x 80 gram servings, which works out at ~£1.66 per serving, if like me you plan to have it two to four times a week, it will last between 6 to 8 weeks, which I think is good value. There are other products available with higher protein content per servicing, but this does taste nice and fast / easy.

It's a great Whey Protein concentrate and isolate powder with some good extras. The carbs content will be good but the sugar quantity is pretty high so yes, a good post-recovery mix that I will use after 3 or 4 gym sessions per week. 25g protein per scoop so 2 scoops for me. It mixes very easily in a shaker and is incredibly tasty and nice to drink (cookies and cream - love it). I think it's exactly as advertised - a really good recovery drink. Time will tell how effective it is, but the product looks very promising.

Not an expert in recovery shakes such as this one. It tastes nice, not too sweet but still sweet. It mixes well, it doesn't leave an unpleasant aftertaste. It's not the cheapest, but if you're not using it every day then it could last you a while. It also feels effective. This is one of the more enjoyable protein shakes that I have tried.
